Ghost Reader is an iOS application developed by Potato Labs that converts documents into spoken audio using an on-device AI text-to-speech engine. It supports PDFs, EPUBs, web articles, Markdown files, and plain text.
Access to Ghost Reader requires an active subscription purchased through the App Store.
Ghost Reader is licensed for personal, non-commercial use. You may use it to listen to documents you own or have the right to access. You may not:
All documents and content you open in Ghost Reader are processed entirely on your device. You retain full ownership of your documents. We do not receive, store, or have access to anything you load into the app.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you load into Ghost Reader.
Ghost Reader, its name, icon, design, and on-device AI model are the property of Potato Labs. The app is licensed to you, not sold. This licence does not transfer any ownership of the software or its components.
Ghost Reader is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, that narration quality will meet every expectation, or that the app will be available at all times. Your use is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Potato Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ghost Reader. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your current subscription period.
We may update Ghost Reader or these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after a terms update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Potato Labs operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
